I have recently found out that Marinette Dupain-Cheng’s family bakery is based off of a real bakery in Paris, France. Finding this out inspired me to research and compare the real bakery to the one in the show. The real bakery is named ‘Boulangerie du Moulin de la Galette’ which roughly translates to Bakery of the Moulin de la Galette. The in show bakery is named Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie which translates to Tom & Sabine bakery confectionery. Comparatively within France a boulangerie is a shop that specializes in selling bread, whereas a patissere is a shop that specializes in selling pastries. Therefore, this bakery sells both bread and pastries.

Within the Miraculous show the bakery is across the street from Marinette's school, Collège Françoise Dupont. The layout of the building is shown as the actual bakery being on the ground floor. The floors above are the residence of Tom, Sabine, and Marinette, with Tom and Sabine's room, bathroom, living room and kitchen on the middle floors. Marinette's room is on the top floor. A door in the back of the bakery leads to the hall and staircase leading to their residence, while a door on the far side of its exterior leads to the same area. On top of the roof there is a balcony accessible from a trapdoor over Marinette's bed.
The overall look of the bakery itself from real life to the show is practically a copy and paste, the color scheme, detail and layout are miraculously perfect. a
