Miraculous Ladybug... an Anime?

I would like to talk about something old within the Miraculous fandom something, in my opinion, that gets easily overlooked. The original video animation for Miraculous Ladybug has not always been in 3D CGI the promotional video for it was drawn in a classic 2D animation style and was supposed to be an anime. The original Miraculous Ladybug was made for older audiences with darker themes and political humor.
There is old news filtering through the archives of the internet of Zag Entertainment and Toei Animation co-producing a 2D-animated OVA for the Miraculous Ladybug show. The creator and director of the series assured the OVA will have the updated Chat Noir/Adrien as seen in the 3D CGI show and not the character of Felix shown in the promo video in 2012.
I'm hoping the ZAG Animation and Toei Animation get the anime out soon, if they are even still working on it at all. With no new news sice January of 2016 it's hard to tell if the animation companies are continuing to work on the 2D series. Personally I would love to see a darker version of the Miraculous Ladybug show. Once it's done in 2D anime style it will guarantee an older audience to fall in love with the series. Here is to hoping fellow miraculars!
