Synopsis Thoughts

The behind the scenes, synopsis and release dates for the Miraculous Christmas special, A Special Christmas, was released this week. I am so excited for the special but I’m also crying because of the synopsis. Our poor sweet cinnamon roll Adrien Agreste is facing the first Christmas without his Mother and with his Father being so distant form him, it doesn't help matters. Adrien transforms into Chat Noir to deal with his sadness and to get away for a while. When Gabriel, Adrien’s Father, see’s he is missing word spreads and Marinette transforms into Ladybug to find Adrien. Mistaking Santa Claus to be akumatized when she finally finds Adrien negative emotions roar and Santa Claus becomes Bad Santa. Now Chat Noir and Ladybug must save Christmas together.

If you are not aware the Christmas special will be a musical, which I will be the first to admit of being very hesitant about the idea when first hearing the news. I am still nervous for the whole thing to come off rather cheesy however, seeing some of the behind the scenes of the voice actors singing, brought back a little hope for me. Going back to the synopsis and the topic (everyone is crying over) over Adrien, when I first read the synopsis I was in class and had to pretend I wasn't internally screaming. My excitement was barely contained but thankfully I managed however, I have to know if anyone else had similar scenarios?
I, as well as many others, are looking forward to the special. Jeremy Zag said the special is created more like a movie rather than a special, it can stand on its own from the series. The special premiers in France on December 11th and will premier the week of December 19th in the United States. What are your thoughts on the special?
